one thing you don't want to hear from your doctor is the phrase 'well you've really done it this time'
but i have - the disc that looked like this in may
now looks like this:
well and truly busted. the disc between l4 and l5 has gone kablooey and there is ook seeping out everywhere. which is giving me sciatica in both legs, pins and needles in my legs and feet, no achilles reflex and a generally doleful and sooky approach to life. especially as i won't be able to vietnam as planned next week :(
but the good news is that i will be having a cortisone epidural on friday and i have lots of lovely morphine until then. so hopefully i might be able to dress myself next week... and even contemplate some textile artistry. perhaps.

Oh heavens and I thought my knee was a disaster, this is worse. Trouble is there is never any one around when you need them. Thinking of you , gentle hugs and I hope you have happy morphine dreams.

Oh, I know how this feels. I had something like this in my neck. Don't they call it a floppy disc? And did it hurt? Oh yes a lot. I had a lot of painkillers and in the end an operation. But, after that, no pain at all and completely recovered. So there is hope!

Tut. I knew you shouldn't have done all that trampolining, but would you listen? Seriously, I hope you're feeling better soon and the ooky stuff disappears. I had something similar a few years back with rotten sciatica but am loads better now so there is hope for all! Sorry about Vietnam too, and hope you get to go when you're better.

Poor you .....i had sciatica and it was the worst thing .....the pain in my arse was unbelievable ..you must have got it 100x worse......get well soon ...x
